Well, we arrived in New York on Monday. Today is our fifth day in the Big Apple. While Richard went to work, we’ve spent most of our time in the apartment getting over jet lag. It’s taken Tate a little while to get back on track.
Today we decided to venture out for some fun in the sun at a playground. There aren’t any in short walking distance, so we headed to Central Park.
We chose one of the closer playgrounds called the Billy Johnson Playground. It is designed mostly out of natural materials including stone and wood. It has lots of steps, a stone bridge, sand pit and bucket swings for little kids.
The park was probably better for an older child who is more steady on their feet, but Tate did enjoy climbing the steps to the stone bridge and walking over it. With a lot of help from mummy, mind you!
Woohoo! Steps & a bridge! Now that’s Tatey heaven. – JAMMA
The last time we took him over a bridge he needed a lot more help than that. – JAMPA
That park looks wonderful! I hope you get to visit it lots. 🙂
