On Saturday afternoon, after finishing at the Kids Fest, we headed over to The Highline.
The Highline is a public park built on a historical rail line that is elevated above the streets. It runs from Gansevort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th street. The Highline was a freight rail line in operation from 1934 to 1980.
The Highline has beautiful greenery throughout.
And interesting views onto the streets below.
Unfortunately we couldn’t really enjoy the viewing platform because they had quite few steps down to it. Not exactly pram friendly! Especially given Tate was asleep for most of the time we were there!
The Highline was built after our last visit to New York so we haven’t had a chance to see it yet. It’s definitely on the list of places to go when we come visit you at some point 🙂
