The last weekend with Richard’s parents

A few weeks ago Richard’s parents left to return home. We really miss having them here and Tate often mentions them. Today Tate even told me he thinks the sofa is their bedroom as that’s where they slept. Even though he will tell you Nan and Pop live in Australia he doesn’t quite understand!

The last weekend Richard’s parents was here were crammed full of fun things that they hadn’t gotten a chance to do; plus one activity which was written on our calendar especially for Tate.

First up was a visit to the Highline, which you may remember from a previous post. The Highline is a must see for anyone visiting New York. The Highline is a park built on an elevated former railway.

There are some lome lovely views from the Highline.

If you look really closely you can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance.

After the Highline it was time to check out the Fall Kids Fest at Madison Square Park. It really wasn’t as exciting as last time for Tate but he enjoyed a few activities.

We also visited MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) and Intrepid (aircraft carrier). I’ll save the Intrepid for a post all of its own because there are lots of cool photos to share!

Thanks Nan and Pop for visiting! We had a really great time and we miss you!!

We loved being surprised by this goodbye message!
