I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter and has had a great time celebrating with family and/or friends.
Here in New York we have spent the day so far at home. During breakfast we talked to Tate about it being Easter and that the Easter Bunny had left him eggs to find. He was eager to look for them but was happy enough to have a shower and get dressed first. As soon as everyone was ready for the day the hunt was on!
In my mind I thought Tate would collect all the eggs and then we’d sit down and open them and see what was in side. Boy was I mistaken! Tate quickly worked out how to open them and checked the contents after each easter egg he found.
After our easter egg hunt we had morning tea of Hot Cross Buns. although they were nice enough, they just weren’t the same as the good old Aussie ones. The cross was made of icing, so came off as soon as I took the wrapping off and they just didn’t have the ‘right’ flavour.
Tate was so excited to try his one Easter egg – a carmel creme egg. Though he liked it, he got overdosed on sweetness and left half of it! So glad my boy doesn’t know how to overindulge! Knox also was allowed a little suck on mummy’s egg too….
Great fun! I was wondering how the day went. Knoxy certainly joined in the hunt. Looks like Tatey is taking more after me with savoury tastes. You weren’t one to eat too much chocolate in one sitting as a munchkin. You’d have a stash long after everyone else’s was finished. It looks like Knoxy has more of a sweet tooth but then again he’s still nursing.
