Day two in DC.

Our second day in DC turned out to be cold, rainy and foggy. Not quite what we were hoping for!

Given the weather we delayed checking out all the major monuments and instead headed to the National Mall and then walked around the outside to check out various museums.

Waiting for our first train.

The weather was so wet and foggy that the monuments were shrouded in fog when we stood in the middle of the mall to look at them!

First up was the Hirshorn Museum. It is an art museum focusing on modern and contemporary art. There were lots of cool pieces of art, including one that Tate wanted to go back to and play with because to him they looked like stacking blocks. Much to his disappointment he was not allowed!

Tate’s favorite exhibition was Barbara Kruger’s “Belief + Doubt”. It is no surprise why he liked that one so much!

So many letters!

As you can imagine, Tate really didn’t want to leave!

We also went to the National Museum of the American Indian and the National Air and Space Museum (which I will dedicate a whole post to).

Can't even see the tip anymore!!
