During our second day in DC we went to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. It holds the largest collection of historic air and space craft in the entire world.
Here is a look at some of the fun things we saw there:
The Viking Lander.

La Minerve – designed by a french astronaut Etienne Robertson in 1803. It wasn’t a realistic design!
