The New York Botanical Gardens

A few weeks ago we took a day trip to the New York Botanical Gardens. We had been there previously around Christmas time to see the holiday train show and at that point it was very pretty covered in snow. Now with spring in the air it was just as pretty with a lot of flowers in bloom!

The first stop was to the conservatory. This was the same place that the holiday train show was located. It certainly looked different without all the trains running through it!

After the conservatory we walked around the gardens enjoying all the flowers and the trees. The botanical gardens is such a big place, I’m sure there are areas we have yet to explore!

One cool part of the garden is the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden. The garden has a boulder maze, a plant maze, musical instruments, an indoor area which had a potting plant activity, and more. Tate really enjoyed his time in the garden and was super excited to pot and take home a flower. We were told that the flower would appear in 10 days. Unfortunately though we’ve had no luck!

After a short walk around some more of the gardens and some time spent sunbathing on the grass, it was time to head home.
