Before summer was over and when I was finally able to walk (at least with crutches); we decided to head to Coney Island. We wanted to kids to enjoy at least 1 day at the beach. And Richard had another fun activity in mind. But more about that later….

The kids found the water too cold to begin with!

Once we got to the beach, after a quick test dip, we sat down in the sand to build sandcastles.

After the sandcastles and yummy pizza for lunch, the kids were surprised with their first ferris wheel ride! Tate was excited to give it a go. Though after getting in and moving to the top as everyone else took their seats; Tate was a little unsure of what was in store for him. I think he was imagining a really fast drop or something. After explaining that we would be moving nice and slowly though he embraced the experience and had lots of fun!
