We are off!

To make the travel to NYC a little easier on the little man and to catch up with 2 close friends we decided to stop off in Japan on our way. We arrived in Japan after a fairly easy flight there.

The plane landed at the Narita airport and we took a train to Shibuya in Tokyo. Despite being quite exhausted we decided we were game enough to walk to our hotel. Boy was that a bad idea! We got lost, received bad directions and walked way more than required!

After that initial hiccup though we had a lovely time in the afternoon catching up with our friends Giulio and Dan. The weather was cold and rainy but that didn’t stop us from braving the streets!

Today was cold and rainy again so we headed to Odaiba and checked out a shopping mall where Tate enjoyed playing at the Lego shop.

Tate was proud of his efforts in the Lego play area!

After the shopping mall Tate slept while we checked out the giant Gundam and a museum.

To end the day we enjoyed yummy applewood smoked meats with other equally delicious appetisers at Saru restaurant. Delish!

Overall a great first few days in Japan!
