A few weeks ago we decided to buy a real Christmas tree this year. Everywhere you go you can see trees lining sections of the street, that you can buy and carry home. Of course, being in a very small apartment, we couldn’t get a gigantic tree. Not that they don’t sell them on the streets of Manhattan! It boggles my mind to think how people fit them in their apartments.
Tate and Richard went off to find our Christmas tree after we went shopping that day for some funky decorations. They picked a lovely little tree which is an inch or two bigger than Tate!
Tate had a lot of fun decorating the Christmas tree and he absolutely loves looking at Christmas trees. We can’t get out our apartment building without having a good look at the one in the lobby each time!
Here’s a look at Tate having fun decorating the Christmas tree:
In case it is difficult to tell, those are squirrels sitting in the Christmas tree. Tate has since added acorns as well. We don’t have to worry that they’ll go hungry!
You can really tell how much Tate loves the Christmas tree in the following photos:
To make our apartment even more festive we added snowflakes to the windows. Very pretty!
Great fun! I didn’t realise it was a real tree when you showed it to us via Skype. It’s a brilliant idea as you don’t need to try to store it through the year. So little and cute. The other day K & L & I were discussing the squirrel and acorn decorations.
