Day three in DC!

Our third day in DC turned out to be rather crazy weather. Again it was raining, and by raining I mean A LOT! Towards the end of the afternoon the rain turned into icy snow. The snow was rather unexpected. It certainly wasn’t in the forecasts we’d read that morning.

Given the crazy weather, it was off to museums for the day. First stop was the National Museum of American History.

After the Museum of Natural History we decided to head over to Chinatown. Unfortunately that is when the icy snow hit. We got quite soaking after only a few blocks and needed to stop in at a cafe to dry off a bit and have a hot drink.

Last stop for the day was a Thai restaurant in Chinatown and then off to the hotel for bed. We had some very tired kids on our hands after a busy day checking out museums!

Yum! Bean sprouts. First try and he loved them!
