Even though Tate was “still two” (as he was telling people!), we had his birthday party the weekend before he turned three.

As soon as Knox had his birthday party Tate was requesting one for his birthday. How could we refuse?

Tate was also very clear that he wanted a cake shaped like his favorite dinosaur – T-Rex.

Lucky Tate got both his wishes! And he loved it!

Tate was so excited leading up to his birthday party and also the day of it. He had fun getting so many wonderful presents and seeing and playing with all his friends. To top it all off his grandparents and Aunt were able to be there in person. Even more special!

We had lots of fun with Tate’s dinosaur themed birthday party. Everybody got dinosaur candy and the kids went home with dinosaur stamps. And as luck would have it, we found something pretty cool when we went party food shopping:

After eating our lunch box picnic, it was time for the cake. We were lucky enough to find a dinosaur shaped cake tin and Richard did an excellent job decorating the cake. I think it looked AMAZING!
