Holiday Train Show

Our first holiday activity for the year was to head to the New York Botanical Gardens for the Holiday Train Show. As you may remember, this has been an annual activity for us since being in New York. This year was extra special as we got to share it with some friends!

While waiting for our friends to arrive we spent some time enjoying a hot chocolate and then wandering the gardens. Poor Knoxy’s start to the day was marred by falling over and getting a grazed and swollen lip!

Once our friends arrived we went to the Holiday Train Show. The kids absolutely loved it. Tate enjoyed running around with Ben looking at all the trains, where as Knox walked along at his own pace.

After finishing up at the train show we headed to lunch and then enjoyed the children’s section of the museum and a tram ride around the gardens. It was such a fun day shared with our friends. Thanks for joining us!!!

  1. How fun! There is a similar display at the Conservatory of Flowers at the San Francisco Botanic Gardens at the moment. It’s part of the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the 1915 Expo. I have to get around to taking the girls to see it soon.
