Tate’s last hurrah!

For the week before Tate started school we decided to take a road trip and enjoy ourselves before settling in to the school routine. It also coincided with my first few weeks without crutches, so was a great way to celebrate my new found freedom!

Tate had been suggesting for quite some time that our next holiday be to Connecticut, so first stop on our trip was New Haven, Connecticut. You may know it as the home of Yale University.

Our first stop was the Yale Peabody Museum. It is nowhere near the size of the Natural History Museum in New York, but the kids still enjoyed running around looking at dinosaurs, the children’s area, birds and various other exhibits.

Tate's absolute favourite was watching the leaf cutter ants. We spent AGES in there!

After a walk around Yale University – which I mysteriously didn’t take photos of (Don’t ask me why); we headed to an art museum.

The end of the day was spent having dinner and then heading to our hotel room to rest up ready for a very busy and fun filled day!
